Description

This upright, decorative tussock-forming grass looks like Austrostipa mollis but the seeds do not have the "kinks" in them that A. mollis seeds do. It likes full sun or light shade and suits most local soils. Seedheads are long rectangular and fluffy.

Maintenance

In the past, the leaves of most native grasses were regularly eaten (pruned) by wallabies or kangaroos, so will benefit from being cut back to about 5cm in December or January. This will also keep it tidy over Summer.
