Description

The sweet-scented, creamy-yellow bottle-brush flowers grow along young branches attracting bees and butterflies. After flowering, woody capsules holding the seed form around the branches. Capsules only open when the branch dies or after a fire.

Advice

Prefers full sun or dappled shade and moist to wet soil when young. If pruned it is likely to sucker. Tolerates salty winds. The bark varies from beige to a medium brown and can be used to make bark paintings.
